The Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, Her Excellency Shani Cooper-Zubida, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Catherine Afeku, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture at her office. They had discussions on bilateral cooperation in areas that would inure to the mutual interest of both Ghana and Israel.
H.E Shani Cooper-Zubida saw relations between Ghana and Israel as a friendship between equals, both countries being young in terms of years of existence, co-operation, therefore, would be devoid of intimidation and exploitation.
H.E Shani Cooper-Zubida revealed they are considering organizing workshops and joint productions with the Dance Department of the University of Ghana with regards to the fact that Israel is keen on conserving culture and in this area of strength, the country is ready and willing to impart knowledge and explore investment possibilities.
Hon. Catherine Afeku also took advantage of the opportunity to propose an exchange programme under which Ghanaian hospitality staff would be attached to training institutions in Israel, which she exhibited positive signs about.
