The maverick Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says he is not scared of leaving parliament because he plans to live in style after his departure.
Ken Agyapong said on Adom TV Badwam that no amount of plea from his constituents will make him rescind his decision to forfeit 2020 elections.
Kennedy Agyapong’s decision to leave Parliament in 2020 follows his recent comments which landed him before the Privileges Committee chaired by Joe Osei Wusu.
Mr. Agyapong was dragged before the committee for describing the house as useless and cheap but appearing before the committee, he asserted he only said the house was cheap.
Even though he apologised for his unfortunate comment, however, Kennedy Agyapong says his wife, Mrs. Wilson Agyapong was amazed by the video tendered as evidence against him by Minority Chief Whip and MP for Asawase, Mubarak Muntaka and has since advised him not to contest the seat again.
Mr. Agyapong said, “I won’t go again; my constituents will try all they can to persuade me but I won’t go again. I have a life to live and I will entreat people to come and see my lifestyle after parliament”.
“When I’m out of parliament, I will live in style” Mr. Agyapong added.
